Never judge a book by its cover. I think this is the perfect time to use this idiom. It's not that beautiful, not that fancy either. I liked it, nevertheless (I can be pretty biased; I'm a fangirl). But but! The story beyond the cover is mind-blowing! To the point that you could forgive the unfancyness (it's not a word, I know ;P) of the cover. I wrapped the book (and the other two books in the trilogy) because they're my prrrrreciouss (read the 'precious' word like how Gollum would read it xD).

Book Review: Shadows by Ilsa J. Bick

Captain Hook gave me this e-book copy of Shadows.

It's the US version of the cover. I like the UK cover more than the US version. The UK version has a creepy one-eyed girl on it. The US cover looks less creepy, in my opinion. Covers with real faces/faces that remotely look real always creep me out.

Book Review: Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick

(I can't really vouch for online bookstores other than MPH, because I haven't use their service. But, MPH is quite good, I've bought The Hunger Games trilogy paperback box set from them last year, and it arrived around a week after I placed the order, I think, and it's in mint condition).

That, my friend, is my crappy photographing and photoplacing blogging skill, teehee.

That cover is beautiful and creepy at the same time and that's exactly the reason I bought this book (I know, I shouldn't judge a book by its cover). Well, I'm one of those people who impulsively buy books based on the cover alone.
